What I love most about being in my 40’s is that I really know who I am and am the most comfortable in my own skin than I have ever been. The wisdom and confidence I feel about myself in the many hats I wear on a daily basis is truly empowering. I know my 21 year old self, 28 year old self and 34 year old self would all be proud of the obstacles I have faced and how overcome. My tenacity and determination to be a better me everyday has never been stronger.
How do you stay fabulous?Being and staying fabulous looks many different ways in my life. The obvious is superficial; I love to take care of my outer appearance but realize it’s only one part of what makes me, me. I am an avid runner, group fitness instructor and mentor and pay attention to what I put in and on my body (hello sunscreen). However, the biggest part of staying fabulous for me is being true to myself, showing up authentically and embracing all of the ups and downs life throws at me. I am a joy seeker!
What would you do with the $40,000?I’d love to say I would take an epic vacation to Italy and Spain because I love to travel but the logical and realistic me would put most, if not all, of the $40,000 towards my sons education. He is 12 and I’m not sure what his future holds but I want to give him a head start in the way my parents gave to me. The remainder goes straight to a trip to Disneyland with him-it’s our favorite place!
