Connect What do you love about being over 40?

I love the knowledge and wisdom that comes with being over 40, and the ability to proclaim there is still work to be done. I love that I am ok with looking out for myself, acknowledging when I need to take care of myself, and feeling much less guilty about it. I love that I feel much more confident in failing than I did when I was younger. My mistakes defined me when I was young & now, I view them as having the ability to openly and honestly admit my failures, which allows me the grace to grow.

How do you stay fabulous?

I stay fabulous by staying focused on the things that bring me immense joy, like making memories with my family, finding new ways to stay connected to my faith, and trying my best to keep healthy lifestyle habits. My two daughters keep me young with all our adventures, whether it’s at the beach or a museum. I have recently started meditating which has helped me tremendously with my sleep, which is a huge factor to my fabulousness.

What would you do with the $40,000?

If I were to be so graciously awarded with $40,000, I would pay for my current educational pursuits to become a Master Esthetician, and then I would like to use the remaining to start my own Esthetics business. I am so excited to be pursuing a career that I have always thought about but never had the courage to do until now. I love getting to go to school every day and learn about skin care and client treatment with equally motivated and fabulous women of all ages. They are such an inspiration.
