Being over 40 is liberating, as I have learned to let go of trivial matters and focus on value-added endeavors. I embrace this age with confidence and joy; it is a time of self-discovery, wisdom, and freedom. I overcome challenges, learn from them, and continually improve myself. I remind myself that aging is not about 'lost youth,' but rather a new stage filled with opportunities to empower and guide others. I love pursuing my passions, nurturing relationships, and living authentically.
How do you stay fabulous?Staying fabulous is all about embracing who I am and celebrating my journey. I focus on self-care, whether through staying active, eating healthy, connecting with others, or creating space to evaluate my mental and physical well-being. While my 40s have brought me much wisdom, I remain happy to learn and develop continuously. No one is perfect, but knowing I can take steps to grow is motivating in all aspects and fabulous in itself.
What would you do with the $40,000?As a BRCA1 carrier and having completed a double mastectomy I would give back to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and the Canadian Cancer Society. As a mother to four teenagers, I would continue to build their educational savings funds. Finally, I would celebrate by taking my family on a memorable vacation.
