At 60, I have confidence to embrace my experience and leadership.I love having the wisdom to make a difference in the lives of people and healthcare, while balancing the joys and challenges of raising three teens, two with disabilities. Every step in my career and personal life has deepened my passion for giving back, advancing patient care, mentorship,, teaching, and research. I feel empowered, more focused, and excited for what the future holds.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by embracing balance—nurturing my passions in dermatology while staying active in research, teaching, and leadership roles. Self-care is key: I make time for wellness, continuous learning, and finding joy in raising my three teens, two of whom have disabilities. Staying curious, compassionate, and resilient keeps me grounded, energized and focused on making a lasting impact in both my personal and professional life.
What would you do with the $40,000?With $40,000, I would expand research in dermatology, specifically in areas like melanoma, psoriasis, connective tissue diseases, alopecia and AI. It would also allow me to support initiatives for telehealth access for underserved communities, and fund mentorship programs for young physicians. Additionally, I’d invest in advocacy efforts to improve healthcare policy and outcomes for patients, particularly those with disabilities, like my own children.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
