I am happy being me and comfortable in my own skin. I use my blog, NanaHood.com, to celebrate grandparents and grandchildren, and to remind women of the importance of regular health screenings for themselves and their families.. I love being a Nana of 8 (with 2 more on the way). My favorite days are when all 5 of our adult children and all of our grandchildren are under one roof. Faith, family friends and community are important to me. I love being a boomer!
How do you stay fabulous?By staying active and involved. I walked 4 miles today, finished a book, and took care of a grandchild. I am working on a speech for cancer survivors that I will give later this month. I donate to the disaster relief fund through our church and as an individual. Being aware of others needs especially in times of great stress is important to me. I love my husband of 44 years and the life we have built. God has blessed us and helping others is a way to pay it forward.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would establish college funds for my grandchildren and donate to the disaster relief fund to help with the recent floods caused by Helene. I would donate to cancer research. I lost my best friend to breast cancer 10 years ago this month and I lost my mom to colon cancer when she was just 51. Finally, I would take my husband somewhere to celebrate our anniversary. He nearly died from Covid in 2020. He still has to wear a portable oxygen tank at times but he has come a long way. He is my rock.❤️
