One of the most liberating aspects of being 40 is the confidence that comes with it. I no longer worry excessively about others' opinions or "fitting" into social molds. At this point in my life, I have a clear understanding of who I am and what I value. The self-assurance allows me to express myself authentically, pursue my interests, and engage with others in meaningful ways. I feel empowered to be my true self. I finally understand and cherish the relationships I've cultivated.
How do you stay fabulous?I embrace my individuality and take care of myself, both physically and mentally. I work out daily, which has such a positive impact on my mental health. I take time to reflect on God, my family, and my friends and purse interests I love. I set goals and celebrate those achievements. Being fabulous comes from within and confidence is the best accessory at any age!
What would you do with the $40,000?With $40,000, I would first give a portion to helping the homeless and domestic abuse shelters in my area. Second, I would invest a portion into stocks and bonds, and last I would take a portion and go on a vacation with my husband and daughter.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
